GEAR DESK is suitable for parts with a maximum size of 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 meters and a maximum weight of 50 kg. Application examples include additive manufacturing parts, back lights, and small sheet metal parts.

Can i use my existing Hardware?

Yes, with EDAS you can reuse robots, scanners, other hardware, and evaluation software you already have in-house, as long as it is suitable for automation.

Do you offer maintenance?

Yes, the first year of maintenance is always included. After one year, we offer a maintenance package that includes support and software updates.

Do you offer Support?

Yes, support is included in the maintenance package. The first year is included anyway.

Where can i use GEAR DESK?

Thanks to its compact size, GEAR DESK is perfect for confined spaces. Additionally, it is mobile and can be used flexibly wherever it is needed, thanks to its castors.

Which sensors can i use?

Theoretically, any sensor can be used, but out of the box, we have the following ones working with GEAR DESK: Handheld Sensors: Scantech Simscan and KSCAN, Shining Freescan UE Combo and Pro, ZG Marvel Scan. Structured Light: Aicon Prime Scan.

Which Robots can i use?

Only cobots (collaborative robots) can be used. Brands include Universal Robots, Elite Robots, Omron, and Aubo.

Which Metrology Software can i use?

You are completely free to use any software to evaluate the data from GEAR DESK. You can use your standard metrology software that you already have in-house, so metrologists do not need to learn new software. If you are new to the field, we will be happy to advise you on which metrology software is best suited to your application.
