GEAR LARGE is suitable for parts with a maximum size of 5 x 5 x 2.5 meters and a maximum weight of 5000 kg. Application examples include full body in white, side frames, and marine engines.
Can i use my existing Hardware?
Yes, with EDAS you can reuse robots, scanners, other hardware, and evaluation software you already have in-house, as long as it is suitable for automation.
Do you offer maintenance?
Yes, the first year of maintenance is always included. After one year, we offer a maintenance package that includes support and software updates.

Where can I use GEAR LARGE?
In the measuring room, end of line, or at-line. Thanks to its robust construction, it is suitable for industrial environments.
Theoretically, any sensor can be used, but out of the box, we have the following ones working with GEAR LARGE: Tracked Sensors: Scantech Trackscan, Leica AS1 with AT960, NextSense Calipri CB20. Structured Light: Aicon Prime Scan. Laser Radars: API 9D Ladar, Leica ATS600.
Industrial robots. Brands include Kuka, ABB, Fanuc, and Yaskawa. Extendable with 7th axis (linear rail).
Which Metrology Software can i use?
You are completely free to use any software to evaluate the data from GEAR LARGE. You can use your standard metrology software that you already have in-house, so metrologists do not need to learn new software. If you are new to the field, we will be happy to advise you on which metrology software is best suited to your application.
