For which parts is GEAR MOVE suitable?

GEAR MOVE is suitable for parts larger than 5 meters. The weight is unlimited as the part stays on the floor and GEAR MOVE comes to the part. Application examples include very large parts, as they occur frequently in aircraft construction and ship construction.

Can i use my existing Hardware?

Yes, with EDAS you can reuse robots, scanners, other hardware, and evaluation software you already have in-house, as long as it is suitable for automation.

Do you offer maintenance?

Yes, the first year of maintenance is always included. After one year, we offer a maintenance package that includes support and software updates.

Do you offer Support?

Yes, support is included in the maintenance package. The first year is included anyway.

Where can I use GEAR MOVE?

GEAR MOVE can be used in the measuring room, at the line, or at the end of the line. The mobile robot can be used completely flexibly, and the part no longer has to come to the measuring system, but GEAR MOVE comes to the part to be measured.

Which sensors can i use?

Technically, any sensor can be used, but it makes the most sense to use a laser scanner that can scan large areas quickly and measure from a far distance, like the API 9D Ladar or Leica ATS600.

Which Robots can i use?

The base is always a mobile robot (AGV). At the moment, we work with Neobotix, but any other can be integrated on request. Additionally, a cobot can be added on top of the AGV to hold and move the scanner if needed.

Which Metrology Software can i use?

You are totally free to use any software to evaluate the data of GEAR MOVE. You can use your standard metrology software that you already have in-house, so the metrologists don't need to learn new software. If you are new to the field, we will be happy to advise you on which metrology software is best suited to your application.
